CASE STUDY

The Brief

The brief was to create a garden that enticed the owners and their four-legged friend out into the garden to use the space throughout the year, retaining the summerhouse, cherry, and mature shrubs at the rear of the garden. The garden was uneven, with a lot of overgrown shrubs and trees, so discreet intervention was required.

Build & Design

The solution was to design a path through the centre of the lawn, giving a focal point from the kitchen living space, and also to allow their pooch an obvious route through the garden rather than bulldozing through the central flower bed as previously done. As keen gardeners, edible raised beds were positioned in a spot where plants would thrive. Perennial plants and shrubs were selected for their foliage colour, form, texture, and seasonal interest.

Finished Project

A porcelain patio directs you to a central focal point of the garden through clean lines of paving and gravel. This transports you to a generous planting bed at the rear of the garden. There are plenty of resting spots throughout the garden to take advantage of the shade or sun.
